Heliview Flights

Accommodation Details

Blending a luxury helicopter, personalised service, friendly staff and the stunning Central Otago landscape, family-owned Heliview Flights offers a range of scenic helicopter flights and heli-biking trips (guided and self-ride). From their base at Cromwell Racecourse Airfield, flights take in the majestic vista of the surrounding area and Southern Alps.

Central Otago is mother nature's ultimate MTB terrain park. Treasure the thought of not having to pedal to the top with a heli-bike trip. Now there's only one way down!

For the ultimate mountain biking trip, come heli-biking above Cromwell with us - Nevis/Old Woman, Kopuwai/Obelisk, Dunstan Range/Leaning Rock or the Pisa Ranges. We’ll turn the uphill leg into an enjoyable scenic helicopter trip, leaving you to enjoy the downhill buzz on your bike! End up at a winery or cafe near Cromwell and reminisce while you wait for your shuttle pickup.

A selection of scenic flight routes range from short sojourns over the Cromwell basin through to lengthier excursions to take in the whole region, landing at a local cafe or winery for refreshments, or taking in the views from a remote alpine landing. See Highlands Motorsport Park, AJ Hackett's Nevis bungy or the Otago Central Rail Trail from above. A fully customised flight schedule is also on offer, depending on your needs.

So if you are looking for things to do, give us a call - we look forward to giving you a fantastic helicopter ride! Sightseeing Helicopter Flights is our game.

  • We had a really good time, Jolanda was a great host and the flight and views were fantastic, it was also good having Richards commentary, would highly recommend.

  • The helicopter flight was a 'magic carpet' cruise over coastal, mountain and city areas. We had great views in a very comfortable aircraft. This was our first flight in a helicopter and, as we are shifting away from New Plymouth, it was a very fitting way to say 'farewell'.
